Veronica Esteves, Spring Reporter
Veronica Esteves is a 17 year old junior at Colonia High School. Esteves is Portuguese and is the first in her family to be born in America. English is only her second language. As a starter for the Colonia Tennis Team, Esteves has been playing for all three years and is looking to play her senior year as well. She loves to watch soccer and her favorite teams are Portugal and Real Madrid. Esteves would like to go to college for either medicine, political science or law. She also has hopes to go to Rutgers University after high school.
Afrah Momin, Fall Editor & Reporter
Afrah Momin is a seventeen year old senior at CHS. She is an optimistic and cheerful young girl. She enjoys most of her time listening to music, binge watching her favorite TV shows on Netflix, and texting her friends. She was diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) in 2003 and got out of remission in 2005. Her favorite season is winter because she loves snow and Christmas. She enjoys making her friends smile and laugh. As her final year, she is excited to gain more experience in her second year of Journalism. She hopes to pursue a career as a reporter.  
Jeremy Prieto, Spring Reporter
Jeremy Prieto is a junior at colonia high school. Prieto was born in north bergen, nj and lived in union city, nj until age 5 then he moved to avenel,nj. He enjoys reading, listening to music, watching the news, watching movies and traveling. His favorite movie is the pursuit of happyness. He plans to become a humanitarian aid worker and or a civil/human rights activist.
