The Santa Claus 2 is a must see this holiday season.

The Santa Claus 2 which is considered to be a fantasy/comedy was released November 1,2002. Michael Lembeck did an excellent job directing the sequel to The Santa Claus. It did a good job in the box office with $172.9 million USD and opening weekend was $29 million USD.

This movie is the sequel to The Santa Claus where a dad surprisingly actually becomes Santa Claus. He then does all the things Santa Claus does. For instance bringing gifts to the children keeping the elves in line for Christmas and of course the toys. He then flees to the North Pole to continue his new unbelievable job as Santa Claus.

Now moving on to the sequel, Scott Calvin has been Santa Claus for 8 years now. However this year he has an overbearing of bad news thrown his way. For one his son Charlie has been put on the naughty list and he soon discovers that he must be married by Christmas Eve or he will stop being Santa Claus forever. It clearly is a lot to handle.

His son Charlie has been a little naughty. Doing things that just teenagers do but his actions reflect him and he gets put on the naughty list. Due to him getting in trouble in school, Scott, his dad comes all the way from the North Pole to Charlie’s school.

While he’s there he must find someone to marry since Christmas Eve is less than a month away. For the time that Scott (Santa Claus) is gone one of the elves creates a toy Santa to take his place while he is gone. At first the toy Santa seems to be doing well up until he reads the rule book. As he’s reading it he believes that none of the elves are following the rules. Toy Santa decides to make some drastic changes that does not seem right.

The scale of 1-5 candy canes. I would give this movie, The Santa Claus 2 4 out of 5 stars. This movie is a great family friendly movie. It shows all the magical mysterious things that goes on in the North Pole when Santa is gone.

This film is a great concept for young kids. Every time Christmas comes around I’m sure to sit down and watch this exciting family movie. I love how it shows that without Santa, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas. I enjoyed how Scott Calvin (Santa Claus) needed to find someone to marry by Christmas Eve. It created a great little fling for Santa to find his Mrs. Clause.

There is a final movie to The Santa Claus series. Be sure to check it out. I would recommend The Santa Claus 2 to someone who just enjoys Christmas and loves holiday movies.
