Distance

I walked away from you

You were my poison

Time was my antidote

Story continues below advertisement

Tears in the wind

I watched us burn in the fury of the night

I realized in the haze I’d be alright

I realized in the haze I’d be alright

I Welcomed you

With the stars in the night

You stung me with your poison

My screams through the wind

I turned to your arms for the antidote

Not knowing your love wasn’t the antidote

Not knowing I’d be alright

I got lost in the gust of the wind

I tried to be far from you

Because you were my poison

I cast my broken shell in the night

Fumbling through the midst of the night

Searching for my antidote

Because you bit me with your poison

I needed to be alright

I saw you for you

For the first time I threw our memories to the wind

The past, gone into the wind

The future lost in the night

There was no more me for you

In the moment I didn’t know the antidote

IN the instance I didn’t think I’d be alright

But in the chaos of it all I knew you were my poison

You were my poison

My trust in the wind

I realized in the fire you’d be alright

I watched you turn in the midst of the night

Searching for the antidote

I finally walked away from you

You were my poison, that’s why i walked away from you

My tears in the wind’ Time was my antidote

I realized I’d be alright watching us burn in the fury of the night
