Photo Credit: Photo via googe under the creative commons license On this day in 2003, the famed supersonic passenger aircraft Concorde took its final flight after almost 30 years of service. The British Airways Concorde flew transatlantic, from New York JFK to London Heathrow. The Concorde was taken out of service following the horrific Air France crash in Paris in 2000, as well as increasingly inefficient operating costs.
