Cristian Alvarez is a senior at Colonia High School. He has a strong passion for soccer, he has aspirations of playing in college and has played all of his life. His favorite food is sushi, with shrimp tempura and spicy tuna being his top choice. Alvarez has two dogs, a golden doodle and a cavapoo. His favorite time of the year is the summer since he likes being outside. When watching TV he usually watches soccer matches, his favorite team being Fc Barcelona in Spain. He travels to Spain in the summer to visit his family there which he really enjoys. Some of his other hobbies include going to the gym with friends and just hanging out with his friends in general. He doesn’t really like the winter because of the cold weather, having not much to do when the weather is cold. 

Abdelrahman Marghany, also addressed as Abdel by his peers, is a 17 year old male student at Colonia High School. Marghany is beyond excited going into his senior year of high school. He looks forward to his wrestling season and spending time with his closest friends before college. Not only does Marghany love the sports in his school but he also enjoys the most of his academic classes he took and is currently taking. He looks forward to improving his writing, presenting, and communication skills in his journalism class to further pursue his education in college. In the future, Marghany plans to become a state trooper which has been his dream career for several years. In his free time, Marghany works as a swim instructor and lifeguard at a swim school. He says he enjoys his job and that it taught him a lot about educating and communicating with others.

   Shane Litterer is a 15 year old sophmore at Colonia High School. Litterer has lived in Colonia all his life,  having attended Claremont Elementary School and Colonia Middle School. Litterer enjoys sports like football. When he is older he wants to have a job that is sports related. In school,  Litterer’s favorite subjects are English and Science.  He enjoys writing and chose the journalism class to have the freedom to write what interests him and his fellow classmates.  He is excited to be a member of The Declaration and looks forward to being a part of the class.
