Knowing the laws of karma

October 13, 2021

You might have heard of the laws of the universe, but knowing the laws of karma are equally as important. Karma is a natural law and can be known as the “currency of life.”

Being mindful of how the universe and karma works can have a significant impact on your views and mindset. An individual creates their own destiny through their own thoughts, actions, and words, creating a cause and effect through karma. According to the laws of karma, you have multiple types: personal, cultural, and karmas that involve the entire human race. What you experience in your life is a bunch of karmas interacting with each other, like a karmic footprint. As Newton’s law of action says, every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

The Law of Creation

Life does not happen by itself. We are one with the Universe, both inside and out and whatever surrounds us gives us clues to our inner state. Surround yourself with what you want to have in your life and be yourself.  To make things happen in your life, you have to actively do something because it won’t magically come your way. Ask yourself what you need to release so you can create space for the thing you desire to attract.

The Law of Humility

One must be able to accept the true reality of something before being able to change it. If all one sees is an enemy or a negative trait, then the won’t be focused on a higher level of existence. It is based on the principle that you must be humble enough to accept your current reality is the results of the actions from your past. Consistent self reflection can help you with the Law of Humility and to start owning your own faults and the reality you have created.

The Law of Growth

As we grow and evolve internally, our external reality will change and grow as a result. This is where personal development comes into play, maybe by reading, journaling, meditating, shifting, learning, and healing. Your self-growth never ends and in order to grow spiritually, we have to change, not expect other places or things around us to. The only control we have is over ourselves. When we change who and what we are within our hearts, our lives follow suit and change too.

The Law of Responsibility

Realizing that you have to hold yourself accountable for everything that happens in your life. It is our own responsibility to make choices in how we treat others, how we let others treat us, and every other decision we make as individuals each day. To put this law into action, take responsibility for the part you play in every situation because mirror what surrounds us, and what surrounds us mirrors us.

The Law of Connection

States that every person and everything is connected in some way.  Your Past, Present, and Future self  and everything you’ve experienced has led from one thing to the next, all linked up. This law states that people are all connected too. How you act today is a result of your past actions and how you act tomorrow will be the result of your actions today.

The Law of Force/Focus

You cannot put your energy towards more than one thing at a time. Although you may think you can multitask, it may just lead to slowing us down. Focusing on one thing helps us accomplish more with better results. Higher values of love and peace may help relieve the thoughts of anger, greed, or resentment.

The Law of Giving & Hospitality

The simplest terms of this law is to practice what your preach. Instead of just claiming to have a passion for helping others with no action involved, sometime in your life, that truth will be tested. This law is about selflessness, being giving to others, and where one puts what they CLAIM to have learned into PRACTICE. It is ensuring that you’re not simply saying and thinking good thoughts but that you also follow those beliefs with action.

The Law of Here & Now

One cannot be in the present if they are looking in the past to think about what was or could have been or forward to worry about the future. Old thoughts, patterns of behavior, and old dreams prevent us from having new ones. Live in the here and now and stay attuned to what you are doing, seeing, touching, tasting, smelling, and feeling. This will reconnect us when we are interact with others, eat a meal, watch a show, or even when we are alone. You will notice  the energy being different and your experience being more rewarding. To experience peace of mind, you have to embrace the present.

The Law of Change

This law is history repeating itself until we learn the lessons that we need to change our path. If you’ve found yourself experiencing the same situation over and over again (attracting the same type of undesirable partner, for example), may be the law of change. It’s the universe’s way of nudging you to learn a lesson in order to evolve into a better version of yourself. Issues arise though when people think too much and don’t feel enough.

The Law of Patience & Reward

True joy comes from doing what one is supposed to be doing. Know that the reward will come in its own time. This karmic law is essentially that “hard work pays off.” Showing up and doing the work without giving up on your big goals, even when you don’t see any progress made toward them quite yet. Achieving great things require time and persistence, celebrating yourself, and savoring every little milestone you achieve along your journey.

The Law of Significance & Inspiration

According to this law, every contribution you make will affect the world. You were born with a specific gift, mission, and purpose that only you can bring into the world. The true value of something is a direct result of the energy and intent put into it.  So no matter how seemingly small and unimportant our contribution to the world may seem, it is important. Tap into this karmic law whenever you need a boost of motivation. But remember, you only get back what you put into something. We all play a part and have something to contribute to this world. What we share may sometimes seem small to us but can make an enormous difference in someone else’s life.
