When thinking of camouflage you think of snipers and hiding in the bushes; I mean what really is camouflage? Camo is used hide or disguise the presence of a person, animal, or object. But it’s not that simple you need to know what the best camouflage is for the situation. Some may not know, but there are numerous different types of camo that are used by the military all the time. Depending on the time period and location.
When in a woodland environments you can go with the classic and famous Mar Pat camouflage. Mar Pat being short of marine pattern is best for the woodland setting because of how it is constructed. Mar Pat is made up of small rectangle squares mashed together and when at a far enough distance, mimics the textures and rough boundaries found in natural outdoor setting. But, Mar Pat is not just for woodland, actually because of the great success in the camo, there are different types of Mar Pat there is woodland, desert, arctic, and even near-infrared. For those who do not know what infrared is that is the type of technology use to read peoples heat signatures at night and day. The U.S border patrol uses that to scan large amounts of area to find people faster.
If you are looking for an urban type camo, although Mar Pat desert may be fine I would go with a type of camo called ACU which stands for army combat uniform. With its name making it obvious this type of camo is used by the United States Army. This being a very popular type of camo is also constructed with small rectangles and has a tan and green look to it. But this is not all, this is one of the best camouflages in my opinion because it is “the universal camouflage pattern” made with Desert Sand 500, Urban Gray 501 and Foliage Green 50. These components make it to work in urban, woodland, desert, and night operations. Not only is this but the ACU flames retardant and near-infrared. This camo really has and dose it all by far I think this is the best camouflage there is out there.
