Kyrie Irving is one of the league’s best point guards right now. He is a combo guard who relies on his ball handling, shooting, and crafty finishes around the rim. His game is quick, so he needs the right shoes for every game. He signed a deal with Nike when he entered the league and after some time they gave him his signature shoe, which is best fitted for his game.
Irving signed a deal with Nike his rookie season and got his signature shoes in 2014. It meant everything to him being only 3 other players in the league at the time had a signature shoe with Nike. Those players were Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant. Three guaranteed hall of famers, and Irving is so young it meant the world to him. On both the Irving 1 and 2, his mother’s date she passed is on the shoe and the town he was from, Elizabeth.
Irving plays with speed and his shoes have a unique strap design for total lockdown and stability. This helps plant your feet on defense and set your feet for shots. Another feature on the Kyrie 2’s is the rounded out-sole, which enables smooth transitions and fluid motion. This plays a part in Irving’s ability to finish with craft around the rim. Also, heel Nike Zoom Air for low-profile responsiveness.
The men’s Kyrie 2’s retail for $119.99, the grade school retail is $104.99, and the preschool retail is $74.99. The Kyrie’s are a well known shoe and a lot of people seem to like them. I got the Kyrie’s about a month ago, and I love them. The traction on the Kyrie’s is just something else, it’s great. If you take basketball serious and looking for a pair of shoes to play indoors, these are the perfect shoes. The Kyries are known for court feel, speed, and change of direction. There is not a lot of cushioning in the Kyries Big Men play on their feet and usually have the shoes with all the cushion, but guards play with speed and on their toes so the Kyrie 2’s are good for combo guards who play on there toes.
