Francis Bacon (1561-1626) was an English philosopher, scientist, and author. On top of these many careers, Bacon was many other things. His list of expertise was near infinite and he had an endless list of hobbies. Bacon was also a critic, a lawyer, an academic, a statesman, and many other things. However, Bacon is most widely known for his pushing forward of the scientific method. He assisted in creating the scientific method, and believed a true scientist would use method.
