Carrie Underwood (1983 – Present) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Underwood is primarily known for her music in the country genre, with smash-hit successes like “Before He Cheats,” and “Jesus, Take the Wheel.” She has sold over 65 million records worldwide and is considered one of the greatest female vocalists of our generation. On top of being a successful vocalist, Underwood frequently uses her voice to promote causes she believes in, such as- gay rights, feminism, and animal rights. She has appeared on television shows How I Met Your Mother and Sesame Street, and has made appearances in movies and Broadway shows.
