On this day in 1974, fans of the NBA were able to see the first quadruple double ever. To get a quadruple double a player must get 10+ of four different stat categories. This could mean 10 or more points, assists, rebounds, blocks, or steals. Nate Thurmond was the man who first accomplished this, and he did it as a member of the Chicago Bulls. His stat line looked like this: 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists & 12 blocks. There have only been four of these in NBA history, with the latest being from 1994.
