On this day in 2017, the Houston Astros were able to win their first ever World Series. They beat the LA Dodgers 5-1 in game seven, and won the series four games to three. Astros star outfielder George Springer would end up winning World Series MVP. The Astros, who have been around since 1962, have been historically bad but were able to break the streak these past few years.
