On this day in 1978, the Eagles would go on to beat their rival, the New York Giants. This game is so memorable due to the way that it ended. With the Giants leading 17-12 with only a minute left, everyone began to assume that the game was over. Everyone except the Eagles of course. With 31 seconds left, Eagles cornerback Herman Edwards recovered a fumble. Not only did he pick up the fumble, but he went on to run it in for the game winning touchdown.
