On this day in 1926, the New York Rangers played their first ever game. They went against the Montreal Maroons, who no longer exist. The Rangers are still around today, in the same spot they started… New York. They have won four Stanley Cups, and have been very succesful overall, other than the past decade or two. Recently, the Rangers have definitely had the talent, but they haven’t turned that into titles. This has made fans very angry, but the Rangers still maintain one of the best fan bases in the NHL.
