Angela Anaïs Juana Antolina Rosa Edelmira Nin y Culmell was known professionally as Anaïs Nin. She was a French-Cuban-American diarist, novelist, essayist, and wrote some short stories and erotica.
“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.” – Anais Nin

My mother was a cousin of Anahi’s. And that was a quote most cherished by my mother. She would often use it to emphasize the importance of real love is so hard to cultivate and have it endure. It was nice to see it again . It brought my love for my mother and Anais to my mind. Thank you.
