Colourpop cosmetics, a brand from Los Angeles, California, created in 2014 and quickly became popular among young people and beauty gurus due to its cheap prices and vegan-cruelty-free products.
The brand has a great target towards teenagers and young adults, not only due to its very accessible prices, but also because of its creative collaborations with Disney, games like animal crossing, Sanrio, and even anime series like sailor moon. You can find their products on their official website or at Ulta beauty.
The brand has several options and its price varies depending on the collection or shade, but the general price is $6. It also has shadow kits that range in price from $20 to $70. They also have other options if you are into skincare or body care. The brand is also very inclusive and includes products that fit every color.
The ColourPop Experience
The best product I have tried from the brand was the super shock shadow. This is a pretty soft and smooth cream-based shadow. Matte shadows have a texture like Plasticine or clay. While metallic or glitter shadows have a similar but lighter texture. These shadows have a very well-pigmented formula and rarely fall out.
The super shock eye shadow comes in 22 different shades and no matter which color you buy they’re all $6 per shadow. On Ulta Beauty they have a 4.4 out of 5 stars so a lot of people approve of this product. The one downside of this product is that the shipping is not international. Currently they only ship to the US,Canada,New Zealand,US Virgin Islands,Guam and Puerto Rico.
The conservation of this product is not that complicated, but you must make sure to close the product well since it will dry out. The formula is quite long-lasting, I have worn them for about 8 hours and they do not fade, crease or fall off. This product does expire after 1 year once opened so that is good to keep in mind.
I recommend applying the product with your fingers or with a firm and flat synthetic brush since it pigments much better. For blending the shadow, I recommend doing it with a fluffy synthetic brush Personally, I like the formula of the glitters or metallic shadows better since some of the matte shadows can be a bit dry. Glitter formulas can be a bit difficult to work with at times, as some are not as highly pigmented, and fall out quite a bit. However, a big majority of the shadows are pretty good and they have become one of my favorite products.
