February 27, 1922- Supreme Court defends women’s voting rights

On this day 1922, the Supreme Court declares the 19th amendment constitutional. The 19th amendment states the right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
