The first baseman was the 10th team captain in team history. He spent his entire 13 year career with the Yankees and was a 6 time All Star, a 9 time Gold Glove winner, a 3 time Silver Slugger winner and an AL MVP in 1985. He served as captain from 1991 until 1995 when he retired from baseball. Since retiring, he has put together a respectable career as a manager, first with the Dodgers from 2011-2015 and now with the Marlins since 2016.
