There’s so many ways to make your lashes look fuller, thicker, and darker.
There’s different ways you could style your lashes depending on how much time your willing to take on them, how natural or dramatic you prefer them, or the duration of how long you decide to keep them in for.
Lash styles
There’s many different lash styles, if you’re going for more of a natural look mascara is your best choice just because it’s still your own lash but the mascara adds a darker temporary tint and comes off easy with makeup wipes. It’s best if mascara isn’t left your face for more than 24 hour.
One of the other common lash styles that used to be extremely popular was lash strips. Lash strips is a quicker and more efficient way to give your lashes a more fuller look within seconds. Although lash strips aren’t meant to last more than 24 hours without having to reapply adhesive. The lash strip removal process is pretty easy due to the fact the glue isn’t the strongest.
My least favorite, cluster lashes because they’re known to damage your lashes. Clusters are also a quick way to put on some lashes but the removal process could be time consuming and take days or up to weeks. If you try to rip out your cluster lashes it could more than likely cause baldness to that area because of how thick the lash cluster is and also the strength of the glue. So it’s important to remove it gently with lash removal.
Individual lashes are very addition, once you get them once you can’t see yourself without them. Individual lashes are my favorite because they could last up to a month. The process of getting them put on for the first time could take about two to three hours. A refill is approximately an hour to an hour in a half and you’re required to have about 40%- 50% of your lashes still on for it to be considered a refill.
How to maintain eyelash extensions
Be mindful of water exposure. Avoid water on your lashes for the first 24-48 hours after your appointment. Clean them gently, use an oil-free cleanser or your lash technician could provide you with a lash bath wash. Using an oil based cleanser or washing your lashes 48 hours after could cause the adhesive to weaken the lash bond which can cause the lashes to fall out faster.
Avoid pulling or picking your lash, although it’s hard to resist pulling your lashes you damage your lash by pulling out your real lashes which lessens your natural lashes and makes it hard for the lash technician to apply lashes to that area due to the fact your natural lashes may be too short.
Schedule regular touch-up appointments every 2-4 weeks to keep it looking full.
Prices
Prices can vary depending on the style, location, and the lash artist. A classic full set typically ranges from about 70-85 dollars. A classic refill can cost about 50-60$ and you must have about 40% of your lashes.
A hybrid full set usually takes 2 hours and prices range from about 90-95 dollars. if you need a hybrid refill set it typically costs 75 dollars which takes about an hour and a half.
If you prefer volume, it typically costs about $100 and up depending on how dramatic you want them. Also, depending on the technician can charge more depending on the area, style and color.
Bottom lashes could range between 10$ plus. If you get more of an unnatural look it could range higher.

Izzy Gidado, Junior from Colonia High school. Izzy prefers cluster lashes. She enjoys not breaking her pockets every 2-4 weeks for individual lashes. Aurora Mena Barrios, Junior from Colonia High School. Aurora prefers individual lash extensions because they last longer and look more normal to the eye. She used to use clusters but found that individual are better for her and feel more comfortable.
Faith Ruth, Junior from Colonia High School. She was once a former individual lash tech. Faith prefers individuals because it lash longer, she could wash her face with them after 24-48 hours.
