January 21st, 2018-Eagles dominate Vikings in NFC Championship to reach first Super Bowl in 13 years

Led by backup quarterback Nick Foles, the Philadelphia Eagles brought their magical 2018 playoff run into Super Bowl 52 to face off against Tom Brady and the Patriots.

After 2017 MVP candidate Carson Wentz went down with a torn ACL, many NFL fans questioned whether or not the top seeded Eagles would be able to play in the playoffs as well as they did in the regular season.

Foles proved to be just as productive as Wentz, tearing up a Vikings defense that many believed to be the best in the league. He went 26/33 with 352 yards and 3 touchdowns and became the first Eagles quarterback to have 3 straight playoff games with a 100+ passer rating.

Following a dominant performance in the NFC championship, the Eagles offense took their momentum into the Super Bowl against New England and dropped 41 points on another dominant defense. This was just enough to get the upper hand on the Patriots and to win the Super Bowl by a score of 41-33.

Dylan Miller is currently a Senior at Colonia High School. He enjoys participating in sports, earning varsity letters in cross country, winter track and spring track. In addition to participating in sports, Miller also follows the NFL, NBA and MLB. Scouting is a large part of Miller’s extracurricular activities as an Eagle Scout. At this level he will learn more about leadership and communication, which Miller is eager to add to his skill set as he prepares for college. When he’s not busy in school or running, he enjoys watching TV shows like Ted Lasso. He also likes listening to sports analysts Colin Cowherd, Jim Rome or Dan Patrick. He aspires to work in the sports field and run track in college.
