Both main characters have family issues. That doesn’t overshadow their characters. It explains why they are the way they are. it’s sort of a wrong-time, right-person situation, but they still get to have their dates and get to know each other.
My Thoughts
I really enjoyed this book. I loved everything about it from reading the beginning to the end. The story was so engaging and perfect for a summer read. The characters to me felt so real and relatable. I found myself getting lost in the book like I was in their world. The way their relationship developed was just perfect. I couldn’t put the book down and finished it in just a few days. I loved the idea of the premise about both Justin and Emma being cursed and dating each other to try and cancel out their curse. And I love how it set up the entire story. If you’re looking for a romantic funny book I highly recommend you reading “Just For The Summer”!
Others Opinions
Some others who read the book had all other different types of reviews on the book. One person said, “Just For The Summer definitely delivers on the romance and the swoons, it also delivered two incredibly complex characters with a lot of backstory going on and a lot of issues to overcome. But that said, the character development is amazing and heart wrenching and beautiful.” I agree that the character development in the book was amazing and I loved reading through it. Another person said, “I kind of almost gave up on this book for some reason. I liked it, but I really felt Emma’s struggles, and I wondered how they’d end up together. I didn’t see that happening with just the power of love, so I struggled a bit. But I loved all of Abby’s previous books, so I took a little break and went back to finish it, and I’m glad I did.” I also agree with that statement too. It was a little hard to see how their love was going to work but in all I really liked the way it ended.
