Super Bowl 59 was an intense game played by the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, February 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The unexpected outcome resulted in the Eagles winning the game 40-22.

This was the second Super Bowl in which the Philadelphia Eagles faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs. The first time they played, the Eagles were defeated by the Chiefs, who took the trophy home that day. Super Bowl 59 brought the Eagles back on top causing them to win by 18 points. This game indicated that over the past three years, Super Bowl 59 was nothing like Super Bowl 57 since the winners were different.

Before the game started, a fantastic performer, Jon Batiste performed the national anthem and gave us allan incredible performance.

Quarter 1,

The defense stood out the most during the first quarter. In the first few minutes, Patrick Mahomes passed Kansas City’s first down to JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Dotson originally had a reception ruled in as a touchdown, but the people took a quick look again and ruled it as a first and goal on the 1-yard line.

Quarter 2,

The Eagles had their first touchdown of this quarter from the 48-yard field goal and this was pointed by Jake Elliot. At this point, Philadelphia led in total yards 179-23, and the Chiefs were struggling. Kelce, a man before in games and had many receptions, did not have any, but the Eagles had 5 receptions during quarter 2.

Quarter 3,

During this period, the Kansas City Chiefs scored their first touchdown of the Super Bowl 2025.  Patrick Mahomes hit Xavier Worthy with a 24-yard touchdown. This event was the first time where the Chiefs fell into the Eagles’ territory allowing themselves to have their first touchdown. 

Quarter 4,

Patrick Mahomes passed the ball to DeAndre Hopkins and scored a 7-yard touchdown. DeVonta Smith, a player on the Eagles, was the top pass-catcher who played 69 yards and had 4 catches. The game ended with the Eagles winning an all-time event against the same team they lost to during the Super Bowl 2023. They were enjoying the spirit of the moment and they were proud of themselves for what they had accomplished.

Half-Time Show-Kendrick Lamar

This half-time show was a show to remember. Lamar brought out several special guests such as Serena Williams, Sza, Mustard, and Uncle Sam. Each of these performers was brought out for specific reasons. He had plenty of dancers who represented the United States with their colors, red, white, and blue. Lamar is a Grammy-winning artist. He performed “HUMBLE” as a very popular old hit. He also performed one of his popular songs, “DNA” There were also several songs in which he performed from his more recent albums.
