Tom Landry, one of the most prominent coaches in the history of the NFL, was ousted as the Cowboys head coach after a lengthy career of success.
Landry had a record of 270-178-6, ranking 5th all-time for most wins by a head coach. He has 250 regular season wins and 20 playoff wins, ranking 3rd in postseason victories behind Bill Belichick and Andy Reid. He also led the Cowboys to 2 Super Bowl wins and brought them to the NFC championship 5 times.
Landry was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1990, one year after he was fired.
