Led by star player Lew Alcindor(now known as Kareem Abdul-Jabaar), the UCLA Bruins completed a perfect season in 1967.
From 1964-1973, UCLA went 281-15, won 9 National Championships and had 4 perfect seasons during that span. In the 1967 final, they beat Dayton by a comfortable score of 79-64. Alcindor was named the Most Outstanding Player in his debut college season as well as in 1969 before being drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks. During the tournament, he averaged 29.0 points and 15.5 rebounds.
