On this day in 2016, the Chicago Cubs were able to win their first World Series in 108 years. Many thought that this organization had a curse on it. They never thought that the Cubs would win a championship ever again. The Cubs broke the so-called curse after defeating the Indians four games to three. The final game was eight to seven in favor of the Cubs, and it completed their comeback from down three games to one previously in the series.
