One of the greatest all-around athletes, Bo Jackson is widely known for his tremendous success in both Major League Baseball and professional football.
Jackson spent 5 years playing for the Kansas City Royals from 1986-1990, hitting 109 home runs. After 5 years in Kansas City he went on to play one year with the White Sox, however, he didn’t have the same production, hitting just 14 homers and batting .225.
While playing for the Royals in the MLB, he also played in the NFL with the Los Angeles Raiders from 1987-1990. He scored 16 touchdowns and ran for over 2,000 yards in only 38 games played. Unfortunately, a brutal hip injury ended his football career and put a major damper on his baseball career. After a disappointing 1991 season with the White Sox, Jackson returned 2 years later and played for Chicago for just one more year before playing a final season with the California Angels.

My Grandson graduated from Auburn University, of course Bo Jackson had already graduated and started his professional career. Even Alabama fans say that Bo Jackson is the greatest football player of all time. Sadly Bo’s football career ended early because he injured one of his hips. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bo one time and he was so nice. Took time to talk to you, he wasn’t an athletic snob. Bo was from Bessemer Alabama and I’m from Jasper Alabama. Vincent “Bo ” Jackson is a Wonderful man.
