All of the emotions had names at one point

In earlier versions of Inside Out, the characters had names. Anger was Ira, Sadness was supposed to be named Misty, and Disgust was named Nadia. Fear was originally Freddy. In fact, Pete Docter (Director) had ideas for more emotions. These never made the final cut. Some included: shame, embarrassment, irritation, and pride.
