On this day 30 years ago (1984), Indira Gandhi, Prime Minister of India, was assassinated by her own guards amidst Sikh tensions in India. Gandhi is regarded as arguably the most prominent Indian Prime Minister and most powerful woman of the 20th century. She was named Woman of the Millennium by BBC in 1999.
Michael Albanese is a senior at Colonia High School, and he has been a resident of Colonia, NJ his entire life. He enjoys secular courses like history and reading/writing, rather than math classes and is interested in sociopolitical culture. Albanese likes to write about society and entertainment and hopes to make a career in media.
