In the 2004 draft, Ole Miss quarterback, Eli Manning was the consensus number 1 overall pick. The pick was held by the Chargers coming off of a 4-12 season. They made the easy decision of selecting Manning, however he remained a Charger for just 45 more minutes. After Manning informed San Diego that he did not want to play for them, he was soon moved to the Giants in exchange for the Giants 4th overall pick, Phillip Rivers.  This would eventually become known as one of the biggest draft trades in NFL history. Manning went on to spend all 16 seasons with the New York Giants, winning 2 Super Bowls along with 2 Super Bowl MVPs. Rivers had a respectable career in his own right as well, spending 16 of his 17 seasons with the Chargers and 14 seasons as their starter. He made it to 8 Pro Bowls and won the Comeback Player of the Year in 2013.
