UGGs are trendy, comfortable, and fashionable, and the hype around the fall aesthetic gives them a huge popularity boost. The UGG brand started way back in 1974 and gained popularity in the mid-to-late 2000s. UGG boots gained popularity because many famous celebrities wore them. They soon became an important closet staple for fall and winter.
These boots quickly gained a great deal of attention in the 2000s, and their popularity stays the same now, UGG adds variations of new styles to keep up with the fashion trends, which are the Ultra Minis, Tasmans, Slippers, and so many more.
Are your UGGs fake?
The current customers of UGG boots include females between the ages of 12 to 45 years old. You can wear UGGs everywhere, to school, work, and go out. They are typically everyday shoes. There are three different brands of UGGs. UGG, UGG Australia, UGG Since 1974 are all the known UGG brands in existence.
A TikTok posted by the original UGG Since 1974, the brand prompted fans of UGGs to see if they’re wearing real UGG brand products. UGG Since 1974 states, “If you purchased your UGGs in the early 2000s in the USA or from the USA website, you’ve likely never owned a pair of our UGG Since 1974 boots.” They don’t have any stores outside of Australia, and the authentic ones can only be purchased at the Australian store.
Interview students
The biggest concern with UGGs is the cost. The price range starts from $80 to $500. I asked students who wear UGGs if they think the boots are worth the price or not.
“UGGs are warm, comfortable, and durable, making them a staple in colder weather. They’re versatile, easy to slip on, and have a unique style that many love,” she answered, but she said that some UGG styles aren’t supportive for long walks, and they may not hold up as well in wet or muddy conditions due to their materials.
The other student that I asked said that they are worth it and gave almost the same reason as the person above. Overall, they think that UGGs are worth it.
Only one person said that they are not worth it, she said, “I think UGGs are expensive, along with many other types of shoes now. $120 for slippers is way too much, and they should lower it at least to $100,” she said that they are good and warm, but, weirdly, people would pay that much money, and they are not waterproof, people have to pay extra for a waterproof spray. She also said that when she walks for 30 minutes wearing UGGs, her feet starting feel hurt.
Alternatives
A recent trend that can solve this problem is the search for dupes or alternatives. On Amazon, a brand called “Weestep” sells pairs of boots that look almost identical to UGGs for $40. The reviews are positive, suggesting that these are the closest thing to UGGs you could find.
However, there are a lot of people who only wear them in specific seasons, just to disregard them for the rest of the year. But overall, UGGs are worth it if you want a high-quality, stylish, and warm pair of boots for fall and winter.
