Two basketball icons, Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki played their final home games for the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat.
Dwyane Wade spent 14 of his 16 seasons with the Miami Heat, only briefly leaving during 2016-2018, where he played for the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers. After two years, he went back to Miami for one final season, ending his career with three championships, a finals MVP, 13 All-Star appearances and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2023.
Dirk Nowitzki is a Dallas Mavericks legend, as he spent all 20 NBA seasons with the team and brought them a championship in 2011. Nowitzki is slightly more decorated than Wade, with 14 All-Star appearances, a finals MVP, a regular season MVP and was also elected to the Hall of Fame in 2023.
Nowitzki and Wade were both honorary selections to the All-Star game in their retirement years.
