Hall of Famer, Stan Musial hit a single for his 3,431st career hit on his career, breaking Honus Wagner’s former record. The hit came in a win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Musial’s hit was met with a standing ovation as he was taken out for a pinch-runner in the game. He had a record-breaking season in 1962, also breaking the NL record for most games played and most runs scored. Musial achieved the feat in 130 less at-bats than Wagner. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1969.
