Legendary pitcher, Roger Clemens won his first ever MLB game while playing for the Boston Red Sox. He led Boston to a 5-4 victory over the Twins with 7 strikeouts and one walk.
He finished his rookie season with a 4.32 ERA, a 9-4 record and 126 strikeouts. Clemens also played for the Yankees, Blue Jays, and Astros during his 24-year career. He was an 11-time All-Star, won 7 Cy Young Awards, had a 3.12 ERA and 4,672 strikeouts, which is 3rd all time.
He retired in 2007, but was never inducted to the Hall of Fame due to his involvement with performance-enhancing drugs.
