LeBron James broke the record in a close loss to the Golden State Warriors in game 3 of the 2018 finals. This marked LeBron’s 110th 30-point game in the playoffs, passing NBA legend, Michael Jordan, who previously held the record of 109.
James additionally holds the record for most career postseason points with 8,162. In game 3, James posted a triple-double with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists and played 47 of the 48 minutes. This added to another record of his; most triple-doubles in the Finals(10). In spite of his performance, the Cavaliers would go on to get swept and lose to the Warriors for the 3rd time in 4 years.
