On January 13th, the Colonia girls basketball team fell to South Plainfield in the fourth quarter.
The final score of the game was 38-33. Colonia started off strong in the first quarter, leading 12-9. At the end of the second quarter, Colonia was still in the lead with a score of 20-15.
Colonia was winning at the end of the third quarter, 28-29. The game was close, but Colonia fell behind when South Plainfield scored 10 points in the last quarter. Colonia only scored 4 points, with the score being 38-33.
Senior Rachel Andrejcak had 7 points and 11 rebounds, and Sophomore Ayanna Abdul’ Ahad had 12 points and 16 rebounds. Sophomore Noelle Bost had 5 points, Senior Rachel Joe had 6 points and Junior Juli Wright had 8 rebounds.
South Plainfield players, Sarah Cargill and Amanda Harper had 12 and 11 points respectively.
