Karl Otto Lagerfeld was a German fashion designer, photographer, and creative director who left his mark on fashion houses like Balmain, Patou, Chloé, and Fendi. He’s particularly known for reinventing Chanel during a time when critics thought it had become stale.

Karl Lagerfeld’s quote, “Music is part of the life of fashion, too,” emphasizes that fashion does not exist in a vacuum; it is intimately connected to, and influenced by, the auditory culture of its time. He viewed both industries as parallel art forms that capture the “spirit of the moment.”

Sophia Montesinos is a junior at Colonia High School. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball for both her school and club team as a defensive specialist. Montesinos is also an avid reader, her favorite genre, or genre she “specializes” in, is romance. Her favorite authors of this genre include Jenny Han, Anna Huang and Hannah Grace. In school, she participates in various activities, including Student Council, SPTS, Patriot Pals, and Class Office. She is the class president for the class of 2027! During the summer, she spends her days down by the shore, specifically Seabright. She also enjoys traveling with her family to places all around the world in the summer, including Spain, Mexico, Canada and many more. After high school, she hopes to attend Penn State University one day for broadcast journalism and live near the beach.
