Pulitzer Prize-winning humorist Dave Barry was actually voted "Class Clown" in high school, but his initial career aspiration was entirely different: before joining the Miami Herald, he spent years teaching bewildered business executives how to write more clearly. He eventually quit after realizing it was "hopeless".

He eventually quit after realizing it was “hopeless”.

Dave Barry’s quote is a classic example of his signature hyperbolic humor. He is exaggerating the extreme thinness of high-fashion runway models by comparing their body weight to a relatively lightweight book, implying they are dangerously malnourished.

Sophia Montesinos is a junior at Colonia High School. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball for both her school and club team as a defensive specialist. Montesinos is also an avid reader, her favorite genre, or genre she “specializes” in, is romance. Her favorite authors of this genre include Jenny Han, Anna Huang and Hannah Grace. In school, she participates in various activities, including Student Council, SPTS, Patriot Pals, and Class Office. She is the class president for the class of 2027! During the summer, she spends her days down by the shore, specifically Seabright. She also enjoys traveling with her family to places all around the world in the summer, including Spain, Mexico, Canada and many more. After high school, she hopes to attend Penn State University one day for broadcast journalism and live near the beach.
