Banana chocolate chip bread is the perfect dessert for your family.

Wanna try a new recipe with simple ingredients that are already in your house? Then, try making banana chocolate chip bread. Here you can learn how to make this easy, quick, and delicious banana chocolate chip bread for your friends and family to enjoy.

Ingredients

The ingredients you will need are:

  • 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • One Egg (large)
  • Two Ripe Bananas
  • 1/3 cup Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Semisweet Chocolate Chips

Directions

The prep for this dessert will take about 20 minutes and will bake for 17-20 minutes. This can serve from 5 to 9 people, however, this can be altered to your circumstance.

Step 1:

Begin by preheating your oven to 375 degrees F ( 165 degrees C).

Step 2:

In a large bowl add 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour and 2/3 cup of sugar. Next, add 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/8 teaspoon of salt. After you have all your measurements inside the bowl whisk all the ingredients together before moving on.

Step 3:

In a separate bowl, peel two ripe bananas and place them inside. You will now need one 1 large, room temperature egg to add to the bananas. Next, melt 1/3 cup of butter in the microwave for about 20 seconds or until melted and add to the mixture. Finally, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to your bowl and make room for the next step.

Step 4:

Take your banana mixture and use any type masher you have, in the picture I used a potato masher. If you don’t have a masher, you can use a fork, however, it may take more time. Make sure all the bananas are completely smashed and mixed with the butter. You can stop mashing once the consistency is gooey and only a little bit chunky.

Step 5:

Pour your banana mixture into the flour mixture. You may need a spatula to help transfer the banana mixture because it gets sticky. Then do a quick mix of the two mixtures and add your desired amount of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Step 6:

Next, you have a Kitchen Aid Mixer you can mix the ingredients together for about 1 minute. If not mix any tool you would like to use and make sure it looks like the picture below before moving on to the next step. Then fill a greased or paper-lined pan three-fourths full.

Step 7:

Bake the bread in the oven for 17-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Finally, serve warm and enjoy with family and friends.

Results

I really enjoy making banana chocolate chip bread with my family during a day that we have nothing to do. I live with four other people and all of them enjoy the bread as much as I do. My little sister Zoe states, ” I love the bread so much! It tastes even better with vanilla ice cream.” My mom, Angela Poznanski, stated, “I think this bread is a healthier dessert for my family to eat after dinner rather than ice cream or store-bought cookies.” I hope you were able to learn how to make this easy, quick, and delicious banana chocolate chip bread for your friends and family to enjoy.
