Michael Jordan ended his 17 month retirement from the NBA and made his return in a 103-96 loss to the Indiana Pacers. Jordan had announced his retirement to play in the MLB in 1993 after leading the Bulls to a third straight NBA championship. His retirement was a major surprise as he was in his prime and coming off of a dominant postseason run. He returned to the NBA wearing number 45, but he soon switched back to 23 during the postseason. The Bulls ended the 1995 season with a 47-35 record and although they breezed through the first round of the playoffs, they ultimately lost to the up and coming Orlando Magic in 6 games.
