Comparison to other Peanut specials –
“A Charlie Brown Christmas” is often seen as the gold standard for Peanut specials. It takes on deeper themes then any other and sends time searching for the “true meaning” of things. The soundtrack is very iconic and many people say the animation has lots of charm. Lots of critics and movie reviewers say that “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” is less impactful too the Peanut franchise and a much more boring story.
“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” is memorized for its funny humor and spooky Halloween themed story. My Opinion –
I do think this film is very boring and lacks a true plot. The theme of friendship may be cute but it’s a tad played out. Jason Eyetan (a student a Colonia High School) stated “This is the worst Peanuts movie I’ve watched. On the holidays my family and I always watch films but this is the one we just skip right past”. I partially agree with him, out of every Peanut movie I have watched I would definitely say this one is the worst.
