Feb. 2nd- Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint were assigned to write essays about their Harry Potter characters

'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' was the second highest grossing film of 2004 with roughly $810 million coming from box office. The movie originally had a $130 million budget.

‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’ was the second highest grossing film of 2004 with roughly $810 million coming from box office. The movie originally had a $130 million budget.

During the filming of ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’, Director Alfonso Cuarón assigned each member of the trio to write an essay about their characters. All three actors turned in their essays just like their characters. Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger, turned in a 16 page essay. Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, turned in a one page essay while Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley, didn’t turn in an essay.

Kellie Hastrup is a 17 year old senior at Colonia High School. She has a younger brother and a tortoiseshell cat named Torre. She is currently the president of Fashion Club and is in 3 honor societies. In her free time, she likes to crochet, paint, and various other arts and crafts. In addition, she loves reading and writing. She plans to study filmmaking and hopes to become a screenwriter in the future. Hastrup’s favorite book is “The Great Gatsby” as she believes that the symbolism and characters were excellently written. Her favorite music genres are pop, rock, alternative and more.
