Yet the characters of the show are unaware of what’s in store for them. However, the audience still experiences the build ups and plot twists leading up to the moment where Bates Motel and Psycho intertwine.
Bates Motel has a recommended age rating, despite the shows high ratings – such as a 91% from Rotten Tomatoes. Based off of Hitchcock’s film Psycho, the show is a dark twist on the horror classic. According to Common Sense Media, the suggested age for Bates Motel is 16 and older due to violent content. The show itself is not entirely violent, but brief moments that do contain it may be intense for young viewers.
