“Scream” Scares

While the psychological horror builds tension by making you question who to trust and what’s going to happen next. There is some gore but not so extreme, just enough to make the scenes feel real and intense. Overall, the scares in the movie work well together keeping the audience scared and hooked throughout the movie.
Movie Atmosphere
The movie creates a creepy and tense atmosphere through its setting, music, and lighting. The movie often takes place in ordinary locations that feel isolated, making them feel more threatening. The music added to the suspense with sudden, sharp sounds that make you jump. The lighting is usually dark or shadowy, which keeps you unsure of what is hiding nearby. The elements make the movie feel really intense and spooky.
Other Opinions
A user on IMDb states, “Scream is a smart, effective horror film, which manages to amuse and scare in equal measures. Definitely worth watching, even if the two sequels (especially Scream 3) don’t really match the original’s intelligence and, forgive the expression, originality.”
Another user on IMDb stated, “Scream is the best teenage horror slasher film in the 90’s and it is my all time personal favorite film in the horror genre. I love this film I always did and I love to death! It was really the first movie that introduced me in to “horror” genre slasher films. It was directed from my favorite horror master Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson.”
