As we jump into a new year, we take a look at the woman’s top fashion trends of 2018. From the runway to the streets, these fashion trends are being worn everywhere. From the very beginning of 2018 to the end, people made their fashion bolder than ever.

Clothing

Although 2018 brought new trends to the table, it also managed to bring back some of the most popular fashion trends. Denim still manages to be in style and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. People wear denim with every outfit. Whether it be handbags, jackets, skirts, and every possible style of jeans. Although jeans and denim jackets will never go out of style, denim skirts are more popular than ever. Skirts have made a comeback yet again 2018. As the year continued, more people discovered that DIY denim skirts, jeans, and jackets would be a fun and creative way to put a unique twist on clothing. Throughout the year, people have started their own websites and designing their own DIY clothes. They add their own accessories and cut the material to their exact liking. Denim will always be in fashion. 

Seen all over the streets of Hollywood is a trend being brought back from the 90’s. According to Marie Claire Website Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 6 Collection may have brought biker shorts back into our lives. Biker shorts are known for being comfy, but still up to date with latest trend. Biker Shorts were first seen on Princess Diana in 90’s and haven’t been trending until the Kardashian family brought it back into style in 2018.

Footwear

As many know, Kylie and Kendall Jenner along with the entire Kardashian family play a huge role in what fashion trends are in or out of style. First seen worn on Kylie and Kendall Jenner was a new and unique fashion trend known as “Dad Sneakers.” Many popular brands such as; Nike, Fila, Champion, Balenciaga, and Puma released different styles of “Dad Sneakers” throughout 2018. As 2019 continues, this trend is only expected to grow.

“Dad Sandals” were another craze seen on many people throughout the summer were “Dad Sandals.” “Dad Sandals” are basic sandals including straps or buckles and sometimes even often referred to as “Jesus Sandals.” All throughout the summer of 2018, “Dad Sandals” were the biggest trend for the beach season. 

Also seen on runways all throughout 2018 was a new and unique trend released by Balenciaga known as “booties.” All high fashion models along with celebrities are seen pulling off Balanciagas everywhere. They’re a trend that is every girl’s new obsession.

Accessories

No matter what year it is, sunglasses will always be in style. However, the styles may differ throughout time. In 2018, the latest sunglass trends included either tiny or sometimes even abnormally large lenses. Seen all over models and celebrities are cat-eye lenses, oval shaped, and the square shaped lenses from the 90’s movie Clueless.

As we enter 2019, we see that celebrities somehow managed to make fanny-packs trending again. Thanks to Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid, fanny-packs are trending and aren’t going anywhere. Popular brands releasing fanny-packs mostly consist of Gucci, Adidas, Fila, Urban Outfitters, and Eastpak Springer.
