Top Ten Technology Products of 2013

In 2013, there were several technology products that made were extremely useful for Americans. The technology products of 2013 were amazing and commendable. They were innovative, new, exciting, and delivered great performances.

Starting at the bottom of my list, a popular technology product that came out this year was the Sonos Playbar. The Sonos Playbar is a terrific sound bar that gives great music playback as well as satisfying TV and movie sound. It is excellent to use as a wireless speaker to stream audio from a person’s home network or from Internet-based music services such as Pandora and Spotify. The Sonos Playbar can be controlled with a TV remote, an Android, an IOS smartphone, or the tablet with the app. The price of this technology product is around $700.

At #9, the Google Chromecast was a unique technology product created by Google. The Google Chromecast is one of the smallest and lowest-priced devices. It streams online video to a person’s TV and eliminates the need for a black cable box. The Google Chromecast is a great way to get web content on an HDTV and supports Hulu Plus, Netflix, YouTube, Google Play, and other services. It can be connected to a person’s Wi-Fi network to play online movies, music, photos, and other Internet content. The Google Chromecast is $35.

At #8, a notable technology product for consumers was Intel’s fourth generation Core processors.  The Intel’s fourth generation Core processors are impressive and address the need for higher performance while consuming lower power. It delivers a benchmarking-busting performance that also stretches the battery life. The desktop versions are remarkable and the Intel’s fourth generation Core family is the best collection of x86 processors ever.

At #7 of the list, another efficient technology product in 2013 was Google Nexus 7(second generation). The Google Nexus 7 in 2013 is thin, has a spectacular seven inch screen, and is well-constructed. The Google Nexus 7(second generation) has an unbelievable display that makes video watching, browsing, and photo viewing more enjoyable than before. It costs $220 which is $20 more than last year’s model but it is a greater option for people who want to read, watch, or play.

At #6, the Moto X was one of the best selling smartphones this year. It was the first smartphone that allows an individual to perform voice commands without touching their device.  The Moto X is a fast Android smartphone that is comfortable to hold. It has voice activation and the camera is easy to launch. The Moto X is excellent size for one handed use.

At #5 of the list, the Samsung Galaxy S4 was one of the most highly anticipated smartphones in 2013 and lived up to its hype. The S4 has a stunning screen which is a 5 inch display with full HD resolution. The Samsung Galaxy S4 has a super fast processor and great camera. It’s the most powerful and desirable device Samsung created this year because the camera is a sixteen megapixel with an image stabilized zoom lens and the screen has excellent brightness and colors with it. The S4 secures precious photos by uploading to Dropbox. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is comfortable in hand and is a top choice for anyone looking for a big screen and do-everything smartphone. The S4 has great performance and is dependable at the price of $100.

At #4, the iPad Air was an unexpected technology product that was an immediate success for Apple in 2013. The iPad Air has a sleeker framework and new processor, A7, which powers the entire experience for the iPad Air. It has the same dual-core as previous IPad’s but offers a refining experience. The iPad Air is 28% lighter than the iPad 4 and is solid due to its aluminum unibody design. The Retina Display is exactly the same but displays more content that is sharp and detailed. The iPad Air is amazing because of its power and capability.

At #3, the Surface Pro 2 was one of the best laptops Windows revealed. The Surface Pro 2 is a Microsoft tablet that can go from tablet to laptop and back in a snap at any time. The Surface Pro 2 features a Kickstand that promises great angles for working with the Surface on a desk or someone’s lap.  It provides an incredibly fast performance and longer battery life. The Surface Pro 2 has Windows 8.1 that is great for multi-tasking and entertainment.  It has a faster startup and longer battery life (7-15 days idle life) due to Windows 8.1 PCs. The Surface Pro 2 also features its Surface Pro Pen that is used as a business tool to write, mark up presentations, and e-sign documents. It is available at stores for $900.

At #2, the iPhone 5s was Apple’s newest iPhone that iPhone users were eager to get their hands on in 2013. The iPhone 5s features a chip with 64-bit architecture. It also has a fingerprint identity sensor.  The iPhone 5s looks and feels unbelievably thin and light due to the sleekness of metal and glass. It is available in three elegant expressions:  gold, silver, and space gray. The iPhone 5s has Touch ID, which is a convenient and easy way to access your iPhone. Touch ID allows an iPhone to read a person’s fingerprint and know who that person is. iPhone 5s has the A7 chip that gives consumers graphics performance up to 2 times faster than the A6 chip. It also has the iSight camera that features advanced technologies and can take an amazing photo at any time. iPhone 5 is available for $200.

At #1 of the list, the Kindle Fire HDX was one of Amazon’s best devices this year. The Kindle Fire HDX has a breakthrough HDX display at 8.9”. It has the highest resolution and also the best pixel density of any Kindle Fire tablet. The Kindle Fire HDX provides an incredible multimedia experience for people invested in technology. It displays feature perfect color and can be held with one hand because the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9” is 34% lighter than the previous generation. The Kindle Fire HDX promises powerful performance, an ultra-fast next generation processor, booming stereo sound, and amazing battery life. It has a front-facing HD camera and shoots stunning 1080p video. The Kindle Fire HDX 8.9”is the top technology product for consumers to buy because of its increased usability and all-new design. The Kindle Fire HDX features the latest 4G technology that ensures the fastest possible connections for AT&T and Verizon’s wireless network. It is available at $230 on Amazon.
