Different occasions, different outfits

Most people will only wear jeans and a T-shirt to every event they go to. Even on an occasion like a red carpet, some celebrities will not wear something that fits the event that they are attending. Even though that is their style, it’s just more appropriate to wear something elegant or even something more than casual.

“Bad” dressing can even stretch out to schools and students. Since teachers can only dress professional, they don’t fall into this category. Although some students on the other hand seem to dress like they just came out of their beds. If you are wearing pajama pants to school everyday, your teachers will feel like you are a slacker who doesn’t really care about his/ her grades. Not saying that you have to dress up with a skirt and I nice top or a suit everyday but dress presentable. When you can dress like you’re ready to tackle the day, even if you’re not, it will give people a good impression of you.

Work related dressing is even different. Because there are different work fields, there are also appropriate outfits that go with it. Business or Law, for example, you have to dress up professional because you never know who you will run into. Also because your clients expect to see someone who looks ready and prepared to handle a case.  If someone is a Nurse they will have to wear scrubs and maybe one of those Doctor type coats. Also they will wear comfortable shoes because it requires a lot of walking. If a nurse were to come to work with a dress and high heels, how would they be able to preform their job correctly?

Dressing appropriate spans from all types of events. Not only dressing modest and decent but also wearing things according to the occasion. Wearing sneakers to a wedding is inappropriate, not in a bad way but in a way that doesn’t serve the purpose of the event.

Clothes define the way you be perceived by other people, family members, or higher authority. If you get into trouble with the law and you’re wearing something that makes you look gang affiliated or part of something illegal, they can be suspicious about your actions even if you aren’t part of anything. Or an example that seems to hit home more with teenagers; when your go to outfits are mainly black colored clothes, your family will think you’re goth or emo. There is nothing wrong with that but they will make a big deal about it and make you feel uncomfortable in your own clothes. So just try to wear clothes that will make you happy and also will keep your family of your shoulder.
