Starting their march the Colonia Patriots JV Football team stands strong after their victory.

In an action packed game on Monday October 24th, The Colonia High Patriots JV Football team took on The JP Stevens Hawks. In an exciting and surprising out turn, the Patriots won by a two touchdown lead of 25 – 7.

With a record of 1-4-1 everything was on the line, to put it another way the Patriots had to win Monday nights game. It was an even match up between the two teams. Going in they knew they were going to have to fight. The game stilled at a score of 8-7 until the end of the third, when the Patriots charged ahead.

The game opened with the Colonia Patriots kicking off to the Hawks. JP Stevens  scored a touchdown within the first 3 minutes, and a field goal was kicked in by the Hawks kicker. The Patriots retaliated by keeping them to that score for the rest of the game.

The excitement continued with head to head tough defense by both teams. With multiple fumbles on each side, many incomplete passes and a sac on Colonia Quarterback Eric Hamilton. The Patriots knew that going into the second quarter they would have to step up their game.
