Around this time of year, many people have their signature desserts or foods that they love making. Below shows a delicious Fall-themed cookie recipe.

Chocolate chip Pumpkin cookies with Caramel frosting

 Steps and Ingredients

  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1 egg, teaspoon of vanilla extract, and one cup of canned pumpkin

After adding these components into the large bowl, mix with a cake beater.

  • In a medium bowl
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Stir with a metal spoon and pour all dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture. Next, stir both mixtures with a spoon. If you would like to, you could also add chocolate chips. Finally, on a lightly greased cookie sheet place the cookie dough into a preheated oven at 350 degrees and bake for 10 or more minutes.

Delicious Caramel Frosting

-In a saucepan

Story continues below advertisement
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of baked brown sugar

Frequently stir on medium heat until it boils. It is recommended to do this first part of the frosting before making the cookie dough, this is so the frosting has time to cool.

-Once completely cooled add

  • 1 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Stir with a metal spoon until all clumps are gone. To know when the cookies are ready to come out of the oven, stick a toothpick into them and it should come out clean. Once the cookies are cooled they are ready to be frosted, then enjoy.

Those with medium cooking or baking experience should be able to successfully make these. However, if you are unsure how to use appliances or have never baked before, I suggest some assistance. Furthermore, this recipe does not require chocolate chips if you prefer cookies without chocolate. Similarly, one can buy caramel frosting instead of preparing your own. Overall, I would recommend this recipe for a teen or an adult, I think it can be a little challenging for children.

Around this time of year, many people have their signature desserts or foods that they lovemaking, therefore this is a delicious Fall-themed cookie recipe that is perfect for this upcoming season.
