Along with Neutrogena, CeraVe is a Dermatologist’s favorite.

Like everything else that matters, your skin is extremely important. But, it can be difficult to find what works, when so many products are expensive.

“Skincare isn’t about changing your skin, but by embracing it.”– By Sadhev: The Art of Ayurveda

Acne-prone skin

This means that you are more likely to breakout than the next person. With so, one will have to look through their product ingredients and make sure it does not contain: mineral oil, lanolin and wax. All three of these products are considered pore cloggers. According to the American Academy and of Dermatology, “Acne is the most common skin condition in the United States, affecting up to 50 million Americans annually.”

Cetaphil Gentle Clear Mattifying Acne Moisturizer

As all moisturizers should be, the Cetaphil Gentle Clear Mattifying Acne Moisturizer is hydrating. Not only does it soothe the skin, but prevents and cures acne. With 0.5% salicylic acid, one could see a change in their skin.

Yes, your acne will be less common, but there have been some side effects for some people. One can notice irritation, flaky skin, roughness, tightness, and a disturbed skin barrier. If this happens, look into another brand that does not affect your skin like so.

Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer

Tired of having uneven skin tone and blemishes? Well then this moisturizer is perfect for you! It contains Total Soy Complex, which smooths out your skin and leaves it looking healthy. Not to mention, the 0.5% salicylic acid makes your acne seem like it was never there.

The product has a light consistency of which only one layer is needed. There is no oil– it won’t clog your skin– and is hypoallergenic. No need to wait a whole hour for it to dry, since your skin absorbs it in a jiffy!

Oily skin

Everyone in the entire universe, has oil in their skin; sebum. It moisturizes and protects the skin on every inch of the body. But when their is too much of sebum, then it creates some problems. Not only will your face appear greasy towards the end of the day, but it can cause acne.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

For the past few years, we have seen the popularity of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost go up. Not only is it advertised on social media, but by dermatologists. There is no exception to who can use it, since it is suited for all types.

Unlike other creams, it is very lightweight and sinks into the skin almost immediately. Though that happens, it leaves the skin hydrated and feeling flexible. We cannot forget that it contains many ingredients which nourish and please the skin. This is perfect for oily skin, since it does not just sit on the surface like other creams do.

Cerave Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Usually some would stay away from serums, but this one is highly liked among people. Not only is it a light moisturizer, but it contains hyaluronic acid and Vitamin B5. These two ingredients mixed together help to calm and avoid an inflammatory effect on skin.

On Amazon, Eddie left a review with five stars saying, “I love this hydrating serum! It leaves my skin feeling instantly rejuvenated, soft, and smooth with a natural non greasy feel. This is an excellent value and works much better than other more expensive products. I highly reccomend this to anyone that takes skin care seriously.”

Retail for: $14.87

Dry skin

Unlike oily skin, dry skin is from the lack of sebum. In most cases, you just need a good moisturizer. But for others, it could lead to an underlying condition or the side effects of certain medications. If these recommendations do not help your case, then I suggest going to a dermatologist for them to provide a moisturizer.

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

Does your skin feel tight and itchy? Or even flaky when you look into the mirror? Well this moisturizer is exactly what you need to feel refreshed. It will leave your skin looking plumped for 7+ hours.

The CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is thick and has a rich feeling. Though, it does not appear greasy when applied. Of course you can add a hydrating serum on top, but it is not needed with the hydration it already provides. With how much product you will get, it can last you up to a year. Plus, it contains both hyaluronic acid and ceramides– repairs the skin barrier.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

Along with aiding dry skin, it helps to soothe irritation from distressed skin and eczema. It’s secret ingredient is oatmeal. Oatmeal is an emollient in which adds moisture and improves one’s barrier.

It’s consistency is thick, but feels light weighted when applied on skin. On Amazon, Brandon Nguyen commented, “I’ve tried numerous moisturers / night creams through the years and this is the only thing that seems to work for my dry skin. Not only does it do what it’s intended to do, the texture itself is amazing and smooth.”
