On March 20, 2014, the Colonia High School swim team celebrated the end of the swim season with a swim banquet. The banquet was held at the Bistro 1051 on Raritan Road of Clark.

At the banquet, eight swimmers received their Varsity letters including freshmen Jocelyn Diaz ,Samantha Dobbin, Stephanie Kontra, Alayna Mocarsky, Devin Moran, Jeremy Pampo, and Victoria Nguyen. Sophomore Breanne Rosario also received her Varsity letter. The team also celebrated Christian Marshello’s 24.56 (sec.) record that he set in the 50m freestyle at the senior meet.

Swimmers and their parents got to enjoy a 5-course meal at the party, and many laughed, talked, and bonded over memories that were made during the season.

Senior Marcella Calenda said, “It was great to be on this year’s swim team. I’m going to remember all the great friends I made this year. It’s sad that this is my last year swimming.”
